Ohio 11th Congressional District 2026
The Cleveland seat and the most Democratic district in Ohio — Cleveland's counterpart to Columbus's OH-3. OH-11 is anchored on Cleveland and its inner suburbs, at roughly D+28.
The matchup
- Democratic: Shontel Brown (incumbent), first elected in a 2021 special election; re-elected 2024 with about 78%.
- Republican: Mike Kirchner.
- Election: November 3, 2026. Safe Democratic — not competitive.
Why it matters
Like OH-3 in Columbus, OH-11 is the Democratic vote sink the 2025 remap depends on: concentrating Cleveland's Democratic voters here helps keep neighboring OH-7 Republican. After the remap, Cuyahoga County is split between only these two U.S. House districts — OH-11 and OH-7. The competitive Northeast Ohio seats are elsewhere: OH-9 (Kaptur, pushed to ~R+9) and OH-13 (Sykes, the map's lone Democratic gain at ~D+4), neither of which now includes Cuyahoga.
